Chris Schneider

I’m Chris Schneider, owner of TurfGator and The Pest Guys, and I’ve spent more than 22 years in lawn care and pest control. I started my career with TruGreen in January 2000, where I was hired as a sales representative and promoted to sales manager after just eight months. In 2009, I left TruGreen, moved back to Illinois from Jackson, Mississippi, and bought a small company, which became the foundation of the business I run today. I hold an Illinois structural pest license, a turf and ornamental license, and additional required licensure, and I complete continuing education every year to stay current in the industry. Over the years, I’ve been trained in both warm-season and cool-season grasses, and I’ve completed several lawn installations. I’m proud to lead a service company that happens to provide lawn care and pest control, with a strong focus on both our customers and our employees. I grew up in Highland, Illinois, where I still live and remain active in my community. My family enjoys camping, golfing, and boating, and we’re also deeply involved in our church. I serve on the board of directors for Relevant Pregnancy Option Center, and I value being part of organizations that make a difference locally. For more than 17 years in business, and with 22 years of experience in lawn and pest control services, I’ve been fortunate to see our team grow and succeed. Our company has won the People’s Choice Award for best lawn care services in the St. Louis area for the past four years, and I was honored to be named Boss of the Year in 2010 by the Highland Woman’s Organization. What I enjoy most is seeing the great lawns our employees create and watching them build their own lives, buy homes, and raise families.
